ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray is a hypertonic alkaline ionised seawater solution with sea salt (3.0 %) and sodium hypochlorite NaOCl (0.2 %) and is effective on a bio-physical basis. The sea salt and sodium hypochlorite have an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect.
ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray moisturises and cleanses in interactions with the mucous membrane. ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray also supports the physiological milieu on the surface of the mucous membrane through its composition of minerals, salts and trace elements. Due to its hypertonicity / hyperosmolarity, the solution has a decongestant effect, dissolves plaque and oral / pharyngeal secretions and reduces in this way the inflammatory reaction of the mucous membrane. Thanks to its cleansing effect and dissolving of secretions, swallowing difficulties and the feeling of illness are alleviated in the mentioned indications. ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray is both cell-friendly and antimicrobially efficient and fast. The sea salt and sodium hypochlorite are natural preservatives and guarantee a long stability of the ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray solution.

ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray can be used prophylactically and therapeutically for inflammations and infections of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx, such as:

Inflammation of the gums (stomatitis), aphthae
After dental surgeries
Glossitis / mucositis of the oral cavity
Tonsillitis / tonsillopharyngitis
Dry mouth and throat (pharyngitis granularis sicca)
Laryngitis posterior (with reflux oesophagitis)

ActiMaris^® OROPHARYNX Spray is suitable for long-term (>24h) and repeated use in irritated mucous membrane processes, as tissue tolerance and biocompatibility have been proven also with repeated or multiple applications. The application is almost painless and is generally well tolerated by allergy sufferers.
